ITHACA HOUSE is a recovery-enthusiastic structured women’s sober living home located between Pasadena and Downtown Los Angeles. Nestled in the Lincoln Heights Historical Preservation District, this 1908 Craftsman style home offers a safe, sober, stable home environment, lovely architectural details, and sweeping views of Los Angeles. ITHACA HOUSE members live in beautiful and spacious accommodations with never more than two women per room. A Hummingbird Garden with organic compost fed herbs, vegetables, fruits, and flowers provides a backdrop for calm reflection.
ITHACA HOUSE sober living members are encouraged to attend a daily 12-step meeting in Pasadena, the downtown business district, or one of our surrounding neighborhood communities. One in-house 12-step meeting, as well as a house-member meeting are also required weekly. Members are drug tested on a regular basis to ensure ongoing sobriety.
Members purchase their own food and prepare their own meals, utilizing kitchens that are fully stocked with high–end kitchenware and appliances. Members are encouraged to share cooking and meals. Monthly food preparation classes are taught by local chefs. Members enjoy Sunday evening dinner as a group. A light breakfast followed by meditation and exercise is offered Monday through Saturday.
